Describe the different types of desktops?

There are desktops with towers that fit underneath a desk. There are also desktops called all-in-one desktops that don’t have a tower and instead the screen and the system unit are all in one case. 

What should you consider when purchasing a desktop?

1.       Consider the type of software that you will be using, and ensure the hardware on the computer you buy is sufficient.

2.       Make sure the hardware is sufficient for the operating system that you want to use.

3.       Look for a desktop that comes with some software that you will use.

4.       Don’t get the lowest power desktop because computers advance quickly, and it will sooner be out of date.

5.       Checkout better keyboards, mice, monitors and other peripheral devices.

6.       Checkout touch screen monitors.

7.       Look into all-in-one desktops.

8.       Consider where you buy from for the best deal.

9.       Don’t forget about the possible need to buy a surge protector, external hard disk, printer, router, USB flash drive, and computer training classes.

10.   Think about extended warranties.
